In 2011, Health Link Medical Center — now Derrington Orthopedics, Interventional Sports and Spine — became the first west-coast clinic licensed and trained to perform the Regenexx® family of Bone Marrow Concentrate and Super Concentrated Platelet Rich Plasma & Platelet Lysate Procedures.
These advanced procedures provide non-surgical treatment options for those suffering from joint or bone pain, torn or strained tendons and ligaments, or other common injuries and degenerative conditions. Regenexx procedures offer a viable alternative for patients with chronic pain who may be considering surgery.

Regenexx-SD
We use advanced imaging techniques, including ultrasound imaging and fluoroscopy, to inject your cells and platelets that support healing exactly where needed for maximum efficacy.
These repair cells from your own body live inside all of us in various tissues, poised to leap into action to repair damage as it occurs. As we age, or after a big injury, we may not be able to recruit enough of these cells to the site to fully repair the area.
The Regenexx-SD Procedure helps overcome this problem by harvesting bone marrow from an area of the back of the hip that contains a dense population of these important cells, then concentrating those cells before precisely injecting them into the injured area using advanced imaging guidance. The goal is to reduce pain and improve function by promoting the body’s own ability to heal naturally.

Lab processing — delivering a better product
Every Regenexx location has an on-site processing lab. Our proprietary lab-processing techniques allow us to achieve much higher concentrations of cells than can be achieved with a bedside centrifuge.
