A Rapid Return to Every-Day Activities

When a physical condition or injury affects mobility, quality of life, or the ability to do the things you love to do, there is one goal: a rapid return to every-day activities.

Multiwave Locked System® (MLS) Laser Therapy is an innovative approach that uses concentrated light energy to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. By using specific wavelengths of light, the patented laser energy delivery system helps the body simultaneously manage pain, improve blood flow, and decrease inflammation for a wide range of painful conditions.

MLS Laser Therapy is safe, painless, noninvasive, cleared by the FDA, and backed by decades of research around the world.

What makes our MLS laser unique

MLS Laser Therapy is a patented emission system created to achieve an efficient and simultaneous effect on pain, contracture, inflammation, and edema in a short period of time.

It delivers a unique combination and synchronization of continuous and pulsed wavelengths, which distinguishes it from any other Class IV laser. The capability to deliver safe, controlled laser energy that penetrates deep into the tissue provides more accurate therapeutic dose delivery, meaning consistent and repeatable results.

The various therapeutic effects take place at the same time and reciprocally reinforce each other, without the risk of thermal damage.

Nine things happening at once

Each effect reinforces the others. That simultaneity is the point of the dual-wavelength system.

Anti-inflammatory

MLS® Laser Therapy has an anti-edema effect as it causes vasodilation, and because it activates the lymphatic drainage system which drains swollen areas. The result is a reduction in swelling caused by bruising or inflammation.

Analgesic

It has a beneficial effect on nerve cells, blocking pain transmitted by those cells to the brain and decreasing nerve sensitivity. Another pain-blocking mechanism involves production of endorphins and enkephalin from the brain and adrenal gland.

Accelerated tissue repair

Photons of light penetrate deeply into tissue and accelerate cellular reproduction and growth. The cell takes on nutrients faster and clears waste faster, so damaged cells are repaired faster.

Improved vascular activity

Laser light significantly increases the formation of new capillaries in damaged tissue, which speeds healing, closes wounds quickly and reduces scar tissue, alongside acceleration of angiogenesis.

Increased metabolic activity

Higher outputs of specific enzymes, and greater oxygen and food particle loads for blood cells.

Trigger and acupuncture points

MLS® Laser Therapy stimulates muscle trigger points and acupuncture points on a noninvasive basis, providing musculoskeletal pain relief.

Reduced fibrous tissue formation

Less scar tissue forms following tissue damage from cuts, scratches, burns or surgery.

Improved nerve function

Slow recovery of nerve function in damaged tissue can leave numbness and impaired limbs. Laser light speeds nerve cell reconnection and increases the amplitude of action potentials to optimize muscle healing.

Immunoregulation

Laser light stimulates immunoglobulins and lymphocytes. On exposure, the enzyme flavomononucleotide is activated and starts production of ATP, the major carrier of cell energy and the energy source for all chemical reactions in the cells.

Faster wound healing.

Laser light stimulates fibroblast development in damaged tissue. Fibroblasts are the building blocks of collagen, the essential protein required to replace old tissue or repair tissue injuries. As a result, MLS® Laser Therapy is effective post-surgically and in the treatment of open wounds and burns.

The questions patients actually ask

About the treatment

  • 01

Why choose MLS Laser Therapy? It is drug-free, non-invasive, non-addictive, and there are no known dangerous side effects.

  • 02

What does a treatment feel like? It is painless. Most patients report no sensation at all while receiving laser therapy.

  • 03

Is treatment safe? Yes. There are no known negative side effects associated with treatment.

  • 04

Can it be combined with other treatment? Yes. MLS Laser Therapy can sometimes be even more effective when combined with other forms of treatment.

About results

How long does a treatment take? Ten to fifteen minutes, depending on the size and number of areas treated.

  • 06

What can I expect? Most patients see results within one to three treatments — relief of pain, decreased swelling, improved range of motion. The effects are cumulative, so improvement continues as you proceed. Completing the recommended course is critical.

  • 07

How many treatments? Based on the patient and the condition. Acute conditions typically need six sessions; chronic conditions ten to fifteen.

  • 08

Are the results long lasting? For most patients, yes. Some benefit from an occasional supportive treatment, at a frequency you and your doctor decide.

What patients get out of it
